McIntyre Announces $102,595 for Wilmington International Airport

U.S. Representative Mike McIntyre announced today that Wilmington International Airport has received $102,595 in federal funds for airport improvements.

Congressman McIntyre stated, "Runway improvements and enhancements are critical to passenger and airplane safety and these federal funds will help the Wilmington Airport in both regards. Congratulations to Director Jon Rosborough and all the fine folks at the airport for their work in securing these funds."

The U.S. Congress has appropriated these funds through the U.S. Department of Transportation for installation of path indicators and lights on Runway 17 associated with the runway rehabilitation. This grant is for Phase 2 of 2 of the runway rehabilitation project.
